Do you think that coaching is important to compete? 

If you have won every pageant you have competed in and you did not get professional coaching then the answer is no, you are obviously doing something right. However, if you are serious about competing to win, then the answer is YES! Some people love to compete for fun but to learn and take the competition to the next level one must practice. Competing in pageants are good for practice and fun, but nothing tops professional coaching and serious preparation. Whether you choose PIA or another agency, we strongly encourage people to coach with a professional coach that has proven results and has professional training themselves. 

 

What are some of the areas we would target?

We will evaluate your goals and target every area of the pageant you are competing in. This usually includes, interview/resume, wardrobe selection, walking, fitness, hair, makeup and platform preparation, to mention a few.  Each of our consultants has a speciality and we will all work together to help you achieve your goals. ​

 

What ages do you coach?

I work with young ladies starting at ages 5.  Usually with the little ones, we are also working with the parents as well. 

 

Would we work on pageant interview questions?

In order to answer pageant interview questions with confidence, we focus on developing your social skills, knowledge of your resume, the pageant requirements and your platform . PIA consultants believe teaching clients to confidence will assist in creating a relaxed interview that pinpoints what the judges are looking for and what you want to relay about yourself. Personal development skills and deliverance of  your responses is key to a successful interview.

Do you Skype or Zoom?  

Yes, we use Zoom.us for wedding and pageant coaching sessions allowing us to see clients from any part of the US.  Zoom coaching is as effective as in-person coaching.  

 

How much is coaching?

We have several plans to meet your financial needs and personal goals. We negotiated discounts with vendors and also have a reduced rate when you purchase session in a bundle. Contact us for individual needs. For weddings and events we have a schedule for general consultations to planning the entire event along with discounts for other services.

What are the benefits for hiring a wedding consultant or planner? 

​

The benefits are more than you realize, from saving you money on your venue, flowers, clothes, etc to making sure that everything is attended to from ring to reception. The money you save, is usually more than the money you would have spent doing all the work yourself. Plus, the ease of knowing someone has everything under control so you can enjoy your special day. In fact, statistically wedding takes approximately 200-250 hours to plan (that is equivalent to over 6 full work weeks!). A Coordinator can save you time spent researching and planning.  A Coordinator can also help you prioritize your vendors, get your budget in order, provide qualified vendor referrals, accompany you to vendor meetings and know what questions to ask, review vendor contracts, negotiate on your behalf, and save you money.  Not to mention, a Coordinator provides creative décor and design ideas or research some for you to give you the special details you desire.   And that final month prior to your wedding, a Coordinator will confirm your vendors, make a timeline, run your rehearsal, and be there to make sure that you, your family, and friends enjoy a totally stress-free day!

What makes PIA consultants qualified to be Professional Wedding Planner and how long have you been in business? 

Bryson Taylor Inc was developed in 1999 and had planned weddings long before that. PIA is 8 years old and all the consultants are  certified or hold a post graduate certificate in Wedding and Event Planning. We are fully insured for each event we plan.

What type of services are most common?

Other than our full-service plan, we have two areas that are commonly used. 1. An initial two-hour consultation to help set up the wedding and reception and 2. hiring a PIA consultant to be at the wedding and reception to coordinate the day’s events.

If I have a venue or a caterer, do I need a wedding planner?

Typically, caterers or venues have the job of overseeing the wedding day details that are directly related to the venue, set up, food, and beverages. Areas they don’t cover are jobs such as confirming your vendors, run your rehearsal, oversee the videographer/photographer, provide information on types of services or vendors and most important take care of all the little details that can get lost in the process. They do not run your rehearsal, set up rehearsal dinner, decorate, cue you down the aisle at your ceremony, manage your guest and make sure all of the day’s events are running according to schedule.  PIA consultants supplement these services and make your day seamless.

How can I determine which services I need? 

Your PIA consultant will meet with you to determine your needs and budget. We are here to help, whether you want a one hour consultation or our full-service package.  During the initial consultation, we will ask questions in order to learn more about your wishes as well as answer any questions you have about Wedding Planning/coordination.  After learning more about your needs, together, we will determine which services are a good fit. We can also customize a service plan.

Do you have ideas on how to make my wedding special and memorable?

Yes, we do! One of our favorite parts of our jobs is working with our clients to brainstorm and create whatever is necessary to make their weddings extra-special and tailored to their personalities and desires. This is one of the main reasons we keep ourselves up-to-date with what’s current in the wedding industry, so we can offer creative and unique ideas for our clients’ weddings and events.

Will I lose control of my own wedding after hiring a Planner?

Absolutely not!  Your wedding is YOUR event, not ours. We work for you! Our job is to help and guide you through the planning process, not to take over.  We will give you as much or as little help as you want. You make the decisions and we make it happen.
